Lissie de Groot

My name is Lissie de Groot. Since February 2016 I got the opportunity to become a team member of the World Fish Migration Foundation. As a coastal and marine management student the subject fish migration suits perfectly within my education.  In 2015 I have done volunteering work at the fish passage conference in Groningen, which was organized by the World Fish Migration Foundation. The work was very fulfilling and I had a great time working in a nice team. Afterwards I knew that working for the World Fish Migration Foundation would be a great opportunity and for a good cause. Migrating of fish species is a beautiful phenomenon. This occurs in sea, where fish migrate to different part of the oceans, and it occurs from sea to fresh water and the other way around. The ability for a fish to change their body to migrate is amazing. Unfortunately, many fish got trapped before a dike or other obstacle not able migrate anymore.  In the foundation I fulfill the duty as assistant event manager. So, if you would organize an event, it might be possible that I would be in contact with you.
