Connecting Fish, Rivers and People.

21/05 Day will be celebrated the International Day of fish migration through an event called Connecting rivers, fish and people. For details see link In Sorocaba the Department of the Environment and the University of Sorocaba are organizing a seminar (lecture series) RESEARCHERS WITH RENOWNED on 23/05 at the University of Sorocaba and action of environmental education on 24/05 along the river and Sorocaba Cause of water. Will also be released a book based on lectures, entitled Connecting Fish, Rivers and People. Fish World Migration Day (WFMD) is a global initiative of a day with local events around the world, to create awareness about the importance of rivers without dams and migratory fish. WFMD is performed to improve public understanding of the importance of rivers without dams, migratory fish and their needs.

Madrid Río: Looking for a fishway

May 21, 10.00 - 15.00, Madrid, Spain

A guided group will bike along the Manzanares river (Madrid Río bikeline). At every dam, key issues related with fish migration will be discussed.
