Kerry's role in WFMD is to recruit participants and assist in general communication and activities. She was involved in the first WFMD in 2014 and WFMD2016 and hopes to reach even more people in 2018.
For Kerry, a single day to celebrate and create awareness about river health and the issues that fish have to face is essential to inform the public, local communities, governemental sectors and industries. Kerry believes that with a well-informed public and government it is easier to create a greater driving force that will allow for easier management/ conservation/ rehabilitation of migratory fish stocks. This can ultimately lead to conservation of migratory fish and free flowing/healthy rivers, which is what Kerry always strives to achieve.
