I am Nicole Valverde Espinoza. Currently, I am in the last year of Environmental Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Madrid. I became interested in rivers after a class about the impacts on the aquatic ecosystems, which made me aware of the problems of our rivers, especially those back in my country in Ecuador.
A teacher from my university connected me with the coordinator of World Fish Migration Day. The reason why I want to be part of the WFMD is that I firmly believe in the idea that we are the generation who need to save our planet and in order to achieve that we all need to join and make our society aware of the problems.
In addition, I would like to learn more about the river dynamics, fish ladders construction and conservation and preservation of the rivers.
