Since last week we registered more than twelve new events in a variaty of known and new countries. We almost reached 140 events!
The World Fish Migration Day team welcoms the new participants who organizes the new events from Brazil to Myanmar and from Sweden to New Zealand.

Fish Migration in Myanmar
In Myanmar new an information event will be hosted in the indawgyi Lake Display Centre. The importance of migratory fish in Myanmar will be highlighted.

Yo Amo al Río Ozama
This is the first time in the World Fish Migration Day history that an event was organized in the Dominican Republic. A visit to the low basin of Ozama river to show how beatiful is the nature and why we need to preserve the water in order to care for the fish that grow in this river

The 2018 edition of the World Fish Migration Day is an opportunity to visit the experimental fish channel in LNEC, to divulge the different works carried out and to participate in an experimental trial of a native fish (the Iberian barbel, Luciobarbus bocagei) passability past an experimental weir. The event is supported by the Specialized Commission on Water Quality and Ecosystems (CEQAE) of the Portuguese Association of Water Resources (APRH).
