Natural Resources Wales is the largest Welsh Government Sponsored Body. It was formed in 2013, largely taking over the functions of the Countryside Council for Wales, Forestry Commission Wales and the Environment Agency in Wales, as well as certain Welsh Government functions
It’s roles and responsibility include being an advisor to Welsh Government, industry, the voluntary and public sectors, a regulator protecting people and the environment, a researcher, investigator to gather information and investigate environmental incidents.
A healthy environment helps sustain people and our economy. We need to care for our natural resources in a joined up way that provides multiple benefits for people and nature, now and into the future.
