North and South Rivers Watershed Association

NSRWA began as a group of 200 local citizens 50 years ago. Today, the organization has grown to more than 1,900 household members across, making NSRWA the largest environmental organization on Boston’s South Shore. Our focus is the preservation and restoration of the North and South Rivers and its watershed—our advocacy is still very local—but our reach has become regional.  We’ve grown by fostering collaborations and partnerships that have broadened our education and scientific support beyond our watershed to help our friends and neighbors tackle the biggest water challenges that face our region. With its supporters, NSRWA strives to act as a catalyst for change by boosting the capacity of grassroots groups, fostering advocacy networks, and serving as a strong voice for our rivers and coastal waters.
