Open Discussion

We are going to have an event focusing on open discussion among scientists, students, local municipality, participants of NGOs about the main thing how to make our river Lielā Jugla better for fish migration. Lielā Jugla is connected to largest salmon river in Latvia – Daugava and Daugava is connected to Baltic Sea. There are certain dams and obstackles on the river Lielā Jugla that are problematic for the fish migration and it is obvious we would like to remove all of them sooner as possible so the river can breath freely. But to make it happen we have to go through proper discussions with scientists, make necessary agreements with public, community, business and draw the future and act basing on sustainability and serving nature.
