Les migrateurs du Scorff – Station du Moulin des Princes
The Migratory Fish Monitoring Station at the Prince’s Mill is used to study migratory fish, particularly Atlantic salmon (Salmo Salar). Owned by the Morbihan Fishing Federation, INRAE (in collaboration with the OFB) is the scientific operator. The salmon population of the Scorff is representative of the wild salmon populations of the small coastal rivers of Brittany (France). The data collected since 1994 are used to feed mathematical modelling to predict the conservation of this species, which is classified by the IUCN as vulnerable in the Red List of threatened species in France.
Meet at the Moulin des Princes station on 21 May 2022 at 10am for a commented survey of the catching devices and a presentation of the results on the Scorff by the INRAe and FDPPMA 56 technicians.
