GUARDIANS OF THE RIVERS: THE EPIC JOURNEY OF MIGRATORY FISHES IN PANTANAL
A folder will be launched to highlight the importance of migratory fish in the Pantanal biome.
We highlight the importance of Pantanal migrators, their importance for the biome, conservation measures and the main threats to the species. 19 migratory species are highlighted, including piraputanga Brycon hilarii, golden dorado Salminus brasiliensis, corimbatá Prochilodus lineatus, pacu Piaractus mesopotamicus, spotted catfish Pseudoplatystoma corruscans and jaú Zungaro jahu.
The launch of this folder is scheduled to take place on May 1, 2024 at Pantanal Biopark, municipality of Campo Grande, Central-West of Brazil. This material will be distributed to visitors of all ages at Pantanal Biopark, the largest public freshwater aquarium in the world.
